Devious Journal Entry

Journal Entry: Wed Apr 30, 2008, 9:35 PM
Hello, all! I'm still on hiatus, mostly because I have finals coming up (starting Monday-- eek!!). I haven't had much time to draw lately. And I feel so sleepy all the time! But just 2 weeks of hell exams, and then frrrreedom!!

But I am still alive. Barely.

Oh, and the reason I made this post is because I have a question! Talking to =deathofrats made me think of it...

To those of you who receive/commission art/prints from people-- what do you do with the art after you get it (hardcopy)? The art I've received is just sitting in an envelope at the moment, but I'd like to do something with it for easier viewing. I was thinking of maybe putting them in a binder? (But then I would have to buy plastic sleeves or something.)

Please give me any tips you may have!

Aside from that, I hope to see you all again post-exams. oTL (And let me know if I've missed anything good/new/exciting!)

I have the same problem as you.. I dunno what to do with it... I do have a cork-board and I suspect it might be a nice idea to fill it up with art... or maybe stick them on my walls or something... But then considering how much moving around I'll be doing shortly (with college dorms and what not) I wouldn't want to have to keep putting things up just to pull them down again...and dammit, if I wanna buy art, I'ma buy it! >80
Just need to figure out what to do with it is all... hum.. if you get a particularly good idea, would you mind givin' me a shout? :B

I'm unwilling to prick holes in the art I buy, though! I still have no solution. oTL Maybe sticky tack? Or... (if the art's small enough), a portolio binder thing? :/ But the majority of the art I've bought is irregularly sized. Hn..

And I'll be moving into a college dorm next year, too! And I'm laaazy (too lazy to stick on/stick off. oTL)

Hm, I'll have to continue brainstorming for now. If you get a magical idea, let me know, too, please! :D

By the way, your art is omgggmostexcellent. *0*

yah! no little holes! >_<;; I was thinkin' sticky tack! 8D
I like the binder idea, but it seems a shame to do that 'cause, just like now how I have everything in envelopes, the art is hidden..until the thing is opened.. I want a way for it to be out in the open....
And again, without having it be too much trouble when it has to be put away again >80
GRAW! IT'S A MAJOR DISTURBANCE IN THE FORCE!! But we'll find some way to solve this problem :paranoid:

!!mon dieu!! Thanks! and for the watch as well!:heart:

A binder is sort of hiding the art, but it's more organized and easier to access, I think. Except I just got this one commission that's too big for any binder. DD: Or, how about buying plastic sleeves for the art, and then sticky tacking that (to avoid stick tack stains) or thumbnailing the sleeves (then the art remains safe!). Or gluing magnetic bits to the back, so you can stick them on your anythingmetallic, haha. And you can just alternate which pictures you want in the sleeves. Guh, I know more people stick pictures up on their walls (not me! Mine are completely bare /sob), so I'll have to continue thinking (and by thinking, I mean asking other people).

Will continue to keep you updated. XP

Yeah, it's more organised.. but yeah, I do have one that's kind of big for a regular folder...THAT said, I DO have a gimungous portfolio I could put them all in... but then some are smaller and would look a little awkward in it and slip around and junk...hum...

I DO like that idea of thumnailing/sticky-tacking the plastic sleeves though! (lol@ "stick them on your anythingmetallic" hehe)

omg, mine are bare too!! XD;;; *maybe that's why we're so clueless.. we're not used to this sticking-stuff-up-on-walls-shtick! I have one painting I did on my wall because my parents put it there *dork* ....my walls are pretty and blue though 8D;;
*sigh*

thanks for keepin' me in the loop!!<3
